REBECCA KING FERRARO

Rebecca King Ferraro was born and raised in Northern California where she trained at Contra Costa Ballet Centre in Walnut Creek and San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Gloria Govrin. Rebecca continued her training at The Rock School and Miami City Ballet School.

Ms. King joined Miami City Ballet in 2007 as a company apprentice and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2008. In her tenure with the company, she worked with many of today’s most sought-after choreographers including Alexei Ratmansky, Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, and Liam Scarlett. She danced soloist and corps roles in repertoire by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Justin Peck, Alexi Ratmansky, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, Christopher Wheeldon, and Liam Scarlett. Ms. King danced in the company’s celebrated performances at the David H. Koch Theater and City Center in New York City, as well as tours to Paris, Chicago, Vail, and Los Angeles.

From 2010-2016, she served as a Company Representative on behalf of the dancers, a role similar to a union representative. Ms. King retired from Miami City Ballet in 2018, after an 11 year career with the company. Rebecca has taught ballet master classes across the country.

In 2016, King co-founded the Conversations on Dance podcast with Miami City Ballet colleague, Michael Sean Breeden. The duo has worked diligently to grow Conversations on Dance into the highest rated dance podcast on Apple Podcasts. King and Breeden have worked closely with some of America’s most important arts institutions including The Kennedy Center, Works and Process at the Guggenheim, Stanford Live, Performing Arts Houston, the Vail Dance Festival, among others.

In 2012, Ms. King started her own digital marketing company, Rebecca King Ferraro Digital Marketing Management, where she works with businesses, individuals, and nonprofits to develop their digital footprint.
